Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ProjecX, a Windows desktop application that lets you chat with an AI assistant and connect AI agents to Microsoft Project (the "Software"), offered by ConstructApp ("we", "us"). By installing or using the Software you agree to these Terms.
1. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software on your own Windows computers while you hold a valid licence key (trial, BYOK or Pro). A key may be activated on a limited number of machines. You may not resell, share or publish your key, reverse engineer the Software, or remove licensing checks, except where the law does not allow this restriction.
2. Requirements
ProjecX needs Windows and the Microsoft Project desktop app, version 2016 or later. It does not work with Project for the web or Project Online. You are responsible for holding a valid Microsoft Project licence. ProjecX is independent software. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Microsoft, and "Microsoft Project" is a trademark of Microsoft.
3. Plans, trial and fair use
- Free trial: a 7-day trial with a limited number of AI requests, intended for evaluation. One trial per person.
- BYOK: you supply your own AI provider key or connect your own AI subscription through MCP. You are responsible for that provider's charges and terms.
- Pro: includes bundled AI through our service, subject to a fair-use monthly request allowance that resets each month.
The MCP server is included on every plan. Current prices and allowances are shown on the pricing page and may change for future billing periods.
4. Payment and subscriptions
Orders are processed by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, who acts as the merchant of record, collects payment, and handles sales tax and VAT. Paid plans are subscriptions that renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your Lemon Squeezy receipt or customer portal, and your licence stays active until the end of the paid period.
5. Refunds
If ProjecX does not work for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment and we will refund that payment. Renewal payments are not refunded after the renewal date, but you may cancel before the next renewal. Refunds may suspend the related licence.
6. AI output and your project data
ProjecX can read and change your Microsoft Project files when you ask it to, including adding, moving, deleting or re-linking tasks. AI output can be wrong. Review changes before relying on them, and keep backups of important schedules. You remain responsible for your project data and for decisions you make using the Software. We claim no ownership of your project data or AI conversations.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Software or our service to break the law, to infringe others' rights, to attack or overload our servers, to bypass quotas or licence checks, or to generate content prohibited by the AI provider's policies. We may suspend a licence that is abused.
8. Updates and availability
We may update the Software and change or retire features. The licensing and Pro AI services need an internet connection. A licence can run offline for a limited grace period before it must re-verify. We aim for good availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.
9. Warranty disclaimer
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they apply only as far as the law permits.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising from use of the Software. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Software in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Software at any time. We may suspend or end a licence for breach of these Terms, non-payment, refund or chargeback. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a new date, and continued use after that date means you accept them.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and disputes will be handled by its courts, unless mandatory consumer law in your country says otherwise.
