Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data ProjecX ("we", "us", operated by ConstructApp) handles when you buy, activate and use the Software.
1. Data we handle
- Purchase and contact data: your email address, order ID and chosen plan. Payment card details are handled only by Lemon Squeezy and never reach us.
- Licence data: your licence key and a machine fingerprint (a value identifying the computer) so we can limit activations and stop key sharing.
- Usage counters (trial and Pro): the number of AI requests per licence, to enforce quotas. We do not keep a record of what you asked.
- Technical logs: our servers log events and errors, such as licence validation failures, without conversation content.
2. Your project files and conversations
ProjecX runs on your computer and reads Microsoft Project locally. We do not upload your project files. When you chat with the assistant, your message and the project information needed to answer it are sent to an AI provider:
- BYOK: sent directly from your computer to the provider you configure (for example OpenAI or Anthropic), or to a local model such as Ollama. We are not in the path and do not see it.
- Trial and Pro: sent through our proxy to our bundled AI provider (Anthropic or OpenAI, depending on how the service is configured) and returned to you. We forward the request and do not store its content.
- MCP: if you connect your own AI agent through MCP, the agent talks to the ProjecX server on your computer, and what it receives is governed by that agent's provider.
Each AI provider processes data under its own terms and privacy policy.
3. Stored on your computer
Your licence file and any AI provider keys you enter are stored encrypted on your computer under %APPDATA%\ProjecX. Uninstalling the Software and deleting that folder removes them. We cannot read your provider keys.
4. Service providers
- Lemon Squeezy: checkout, payments, tax and receipts.
- Keygen: licence creation and validation.
- Resend: sending your licence email.
- Render: hosting for our licensing and proxy service.
- Anthropic / OpenAI: AI processing for the plans that use them, as described above.
We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.
5. Why we use it
To deliver the product you bought (contract), to prevent fraud and misuse (legitimate interests), to meet tax and legal duties, and to answer your support requests.
6. Retention
We keep licence and order records for as long as your licence exists and afterwards as long as needed for tax, accounting and dispute purposes. Server logs are kept for a short period.
7. International transfers
Our providers may process data in other countries, including the United States. They apply their own safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to certain uses. Email us and we will respond within a reasonable time. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
ProjecX is a professional tool and is not directed at children under 16.

We may update this policy and will post the new date here.
